I love love love Sacai, Chitose Abe is an incredibly talented designer, whose years working under Junya Watanabe definitely show. And, although it has that Parisian subtle-chic to it, the line also has a bit of the Japanese eccentricity I love so much. Sacai doesn’t seem to have its own website, though, which makes it hard to figure out where the line is carried; the only place in Paris where I know it’s stocked is Colette.

The best part about this top is the fact that the back is made of silk, and slightly puffed, it’s really interesting looking.

And I can’t believe I haven’t posted about this necklace yet. When I was young, I loved to steal/hoard the extra pieces from the chandeliers in my house, and about 3 years ago, I went antiquing in New York and got a bunch more, and quickly fashioned this necklace from as many pieces as possible. I wanted an entire chandelier as a necklace, but this was about as close as I got. And then, wouldn’t you know, Prada copied me for Spring 2010! Haha, just kidding, I’d never be ridiculous enough to think Prada would ever copy me, but I have been making necklaces from chandeliers for a while now…

Wearing Sacai shirt, vintage shorts, Dries Van Noten sandals, handmade necklace

Bisous,
Lauren

Last time I was at Harputs, I mentioned to my boyfriend that my blog was about to get much, much more boring, because all I would want to wear were my swackets and three-hole dress, and it’s sort of been true. Whenever I wake up with no idea what to wear, I automatically reach for my versatile, beautiful Harputs Own pieces. I’m sorry about the diminishing variety of clothing, but hopefully it’s interesting to see all the many fun ways to wear Harputs pieces.
The wine red color of The Dress goes spectacularly well with so many different colors, I love how pretty it looks in the warm autumn light. It’s already become a fast favorite, I’m a little afraid that it’s too easy to wear.

In early June, I FINALLY managed to make it to Harput’s Market, which I’d been meaning to go to FOREVER. They were having a pretty cool sale, and I managed to find myself a cool skirt, but my real purchase was this amazin black nylon swacket. I love the wool one, but since I’m so tiny, I decided the lighter nylon wouldn’t overwhelm me too much. I have to say, I absolutely love love love my swacket. It literally seems like there are infinite ways to wear it. I haven’t had many chances to wear it and experiment with the many ways to wear it, since it’s pretty much always too hot to wear during the day, but boy is it fun to play with! All the pieces in the Harput’s Own line are super cool, and I definitely have my eye on some of the other pieces. They make some pretty sweet men’s clothes, too! Sorry I’m in sort of a sorry state, I’ve been passing out on my friend Rick’s bed for the past few nights (it was the weekend!), so I’m sort of unkempt looking now.
