On Friday, I made a trip up to the city for shopping and a nice dinner at Osha, one of my favorite Thai restaurants. I finally made it (ok, so a week isn’t that long to wait) to Harputs new location right off Union Square. The store looks absolutely gorgeous, and Gus (the owner) was as helpful and amazingly nice as ever. I ended up getting two (!) things, but I wanted pretty much everything in the store. The first is this phenomenal dress. The rust red color sends me into spasms of joy, and there are literally infinite ways to wear it (even more than the swacket, if that’s possible). Today, I decided to wear it as a vest. I also got another swacket, this one in a bright, bright red wool. You’ll see it soon, promise. It’s gorgeous, and totally unique. I’m so obsessed with the amazing clothes Gus dreams up, soon I swear I’ll have to make a whole Harputs section for my closet. The boyfriend got a cool and oh-so-him Nice Collective jacket at Barneys, which I’m very jealous of. He tells me I can borrow it anytime, but it’s way too big for me, so I don’t know how well that’s going to turn out. Heh.
And yes, I’m wearing flats. I’m trying to wear flats more often because I walk so much, and I’m a little afraid that it’s not very good for me. There is such thing as working your leg muscles too much.
