Have you ever tried biking in a full-length skirt? It’s all ok (as long as you hike your skirt up a bit) until you try to get off, get caught on your bike seat, and end up on the ground flailing with your bike on top of you. :(
Full-length skirts may be one of the least practical types of clothing for modern life (what with all the driving, biking, walking up and down stairs, beirut, and climbing over things), but ever since I mustered up the courage to try wearing a maxi dress, I’ve been wearing more and more full-length skirts, regular college life be damned.
So I may not be able to climb over crates, get into my car, or ride a bike without looking like a flailing crushed mermaid, but I’ll wear my long skirts, and foo on practicality!
