Kilted

On my first trip to Harputs Market, I was lucky enough to nab this amazing Sara Lanzi gored silk kilt. It’s an amazing skirt, in the most gorgeous, slightly sheer gored silk.

The best part is that it has panels and an asymmetrical hem from the different layers. It’s one of my favorite skirts.

I love a [...]

I’ve been obsessed in the past couple months with wearing as many fuzzy, furry things as possible, and in my frenzy to collect warm, furry things, I got this sheepskin vest. I’ve been really attracted to beige and cream right now (don’t ask why). It probably has something to do with my newly found liking [...]

See The Leaves

I love the brisk fall weather we’re having right now, it’s finally cool enough to pull out my Rick Owens poncho sweater, which I love so dearly. It is a pretty big statement piece, but it’s definitely one of my favorite pieces of clothing. It’s nice to wear a big woolly sweater to wrap up [...]

I woke up this morning, and I knew it had gotten me. The swine flu. I sniffled and coughed and sneezed while contemplating whether it was worth it to get up, or if I should just sleep all day. But eventually I did get up, and I wondered, what should I wear? When I get [...]

Fly Me Away

So, animal prints are cool and all, but I’ve actually always had more of a thing for “things printed with animals”. My raccoon-print Keds flats still make me smile, I love my Christopher Kane for Topshop crocodile dress (ubiquitous as it is), and, thanks in part to Ann Demeulmeester, I’m now on a bird-print kick. [...]

Emerald City

A few weeks ago, my parents had a party for their 25th anniversary, which was a great excuse for me to wear a fancy dress (I don’t go to many dressed-up events) and borrow my mom’s gorgeous emerald suite necklace. I actually had a hard time deciding between the emerald suite or this amazing morganite [...]

A Place to Put Things

I just wanted to post a picture of my amazing bookshelf, made for my by my amazing friend W and his dad. Although since I don’t really put books on it, I guess it’s more like a shoeshelf?
