The Swacket

In early June, I FINALLY managed to make it to Harput’s Market, which I’d been meaning to go to FOREVER. They were having a pretty cool sale, and I managed to find myself a cool skirt, but my real purchase was this amazin black nylon swacket. I love the wool one, but since I’m so tiny, I decided the lighter nylon wouldn’t overwhelm me too much. I have to say, I absolutely love love love my swacket. It literally seems like there are infinite ways to wear it. I haven’t had many chances to wear it and experiment with the many ways to wear it, since it’s pretty much always too hot to wear during the day, but boy is it fun to play with! All the pieces in the Harput’s Own line are super cool, and I definitely have my eye on some of the other pieces. They make some pretty sweet men’s clothes, too! Sorry I’m in sort of a sorry state, I’ve been passing out on my friend Rick’s bed for the past few nights (it was the weekend!), so I’m sort of unkempt looking now.

I am just wondering how much the nylon version is. I would really appreciate it so I can know a good deal when I see it!

Hi there, I think I paid around 300 for my nylon swacket. I don’t know how successful you will be in finding a ‘deal’, though, because harput’s doesn’t sell anywhere except their store, and since every piece is made by hand, one at a time, they don’t go on sale (at least, I’ve never seen any go on sale except for samples). If you really want one, I’d say go for it. The nylon swacket is definitely cheaper than some of the wool ones though.
